OEM Improves Operational Efficiency and Saves Maintenance Dollars Treating Vortex Meters with e9 Pro Performance

An OEM had a customer complaining about paraffin deposition occurring in vortex meters within less the 30 days of installation at their well site. A 2” Vortex Meter installed in the separator oil flowline began showing very erratic data at approximately 50 days. Upon removal of the meter, service technicians noticed large paraffin deposits packed around the shedder bar or diaphragm and caked into the sensing ports or “nostrils” of the meter.

Treating these meters with e9 Treatments saved the customer over $22,000 each time a meter had to be removed for service.

FOUR+ YEARS Bio-Diesel Refinery Improves Accuracy of Fuel Delivery, Reduces Delivery Truck Complaints, and Saves on Proving and Maintenance

As winter approaches, this facility changes the bio diesel that it blends from an animal-based biofuel to a plant-based land seed oil. This change, along with the lower temperatures in winter, deposits a film on the turbine meters the refinery uses to determine the volume of fuel loaded on trucks for distribution. These deposits significantly affect the meter factor, causing the facility inadvertently to “short” their fuel distribution. In turn, the delivery trucks “short” their deliveries to retail stores. The accumulated shortage can be as much as 1 to 2% per load.

By treating their meters with e9 Treatments, the facility was able to save over $14,000/incident in billing reconciliation, cleaning and proving costs.
