Pipeline Company Improves Small Volume Prover Performance

This pipeline company significantly reduced their costs and increased prover efficiency by treating their prover shafts and barrel with e9 Treatments.

Seals that were failing monthly have now lasted over 8 months, requiring no maintenance.

Pembina Pipeline Reduces Downtime and Resource Demand

At one location in Canada, Pembina observed paraffin wax build-up on a 2” Coriolis meter where blending of crude oils and butane occurred. Within days of the producer initiating butane blending, Pembina’s leak detection system identified a line imbalance and shut in the site until the meter could be serviced. This cycle occurred 1-3x/week for a year, until Pembina decided to treat this Coriolis meter with e9 Treatments.

One year later this meter continues to run without interruption.

Large-scale Water Producer Solves Variance Issues with e9 Treated Mag Meter

A premier, large-scale water producer, operates an extensive water management system that includes nearly 200 miles of pipeline and 12 salt water disposal facilities. This producer experienced unprecedented fouling of black calcium carbonate on one of their magnetic flow meters, causing large swings in variances in the largest section of their pipeline.

e9 treated this magnetic flow meter to increase measurement accuracy, keep variances within specifications, increase daily barrel count, and reduce service costs.

Slow the Buildup of Paraffins, Asphaltenes, and Other Oil-based Contaminants

Paraffin and asphaltene buildup is a fact of life in many oil and gas production fields. When downhole reservoirs lose pressure or temperature, paraffin precipitates and builds up on everything from
pipe to valves to instrumentation to vessel walls. This buildup slows the production process, constricts lines, and clogs instruments.

Treating pipe, valves and instrumentation with e9 Treatments helps slow fouling and build up to extend equipment run time, decrease service and maintenance costs, improve measurement accuracy and more!

Refinery Eliminates Complaints, Reduces Cost and Improves Performance with e9

The loading facility at this refinery distributes five different blends of fuel to trucks, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. In Mid-October, as winter approaches, the facility changes the bio diesel that it blends into the fuel from an animal-based bio-fuel to a plant-based land seed oil. This change, along with the lower temperatures in winter, deposits a film on the turbine meters the refinery uses to determine the precise volume of fuel loaded on to trucks for distribution. Normally, the refinery would expect a 1% or greater change in meter factor. In December, the company decided to treat four of their turbine meters with e9 Treatments.

Five years later, the meters were still running within specifications without the need for maintenance.
